But what about travel? Instead of looking up the best places people travelled in 2011, I wanted to do something a little different.

Reese, I agree about staying on our home turf. That benefits not only use with cheaper travel but helps our US citizens who own businesses and are struggling in this economy. I realized late in life many places I lived I never went to local attractions, some were even free. I have only been out of the US once, Nassau, Bahamas. I was very disappointed in what I saw there. Of course my plans to rent a moped and search out caves and shoreline were changed at the last minute. Friendly people though.
