How to tell ‘Fraud’

Lately, many people have been tossing out the idea that the Ipsos i-Say community is a ‘fraud.’

To put things out in the open, I wanted to write a post explaining how our business works, how long we have been doing what we are doing, and what you can expect when you join our panel!

Firstly, Ipsos (the founder of the i-Say panel) is a global company that dates all the way back to 1975!! Founded in Paris, France, Ipsos has been publicly traded on the Paris Stock Exchange since July 1, 1999.

Ipsos is one of the largest survey-based market research companies in the world — and among the most trusted research brands in North America. We conduct more than six million surveys, in more than 100 countries, each year. We employ over 9,000 people worldwide.

i-Say is a part of Ipsos. We pride ourselves on being one of the best market research companies in the world, and getting results to improve businesses and the products YOU see on the market – every single day.

It’s as simple as that. In order to get the products you are looking for, companies ask i-Say to get your opinions. We transmit your voice and shape the products and services you want on your shelves.

If you don’t like a product, i-Say gives you the chance to voice those concerns, and help improve it to a standard you trust.

And if you do like something, give it praise to make sure it can be a staple in your everyday life.

Joining i-Say does not mean you can make a second income, buy that brand new car you’ve always wanted, and retire early. And no survey company can do that.
In fact, a survey company that promises a weekly paycheck is most certainly a scam.

But what we do offer are rewards to show you we appreciate your time.  Earn points, save them up, and have something on us. Whether you donate those points to charity, use them towards a gift card, or just cash them in. We even have some contests throughout the year to give back even more. It’s the thought that counts, just like it’s your opinion that makes the difference.

The value of our research really does go a long way and we believe it is crucial for your opinions to make a difference. Your ideas will be heard while your thoughts about products will help companies know what you, the public, actually thinks.

So from all of us here at i-Say, we thank you for your participation and look forward to spending even more time with you in 2011.

Check out our winner’s page and see some of the winning panelists from 2011.

‘Til next time,

The i-Say team!
